What You’ll Be Doing:
- Facilitating assurance engagements ranging from for-profits, nonprofits, to employee benefit plans, middle market and privately held businesses.
- Overseeing daily activity and oversight of the staff assigned to the engagement, maintaining engagement budgets, and ensuring job efficiency.
- Fostering client and internal communication to ensure all parties are up to date on the progress of engagement developments.
- Planning and executing audits and reviewing engagements with appropriate interactions among clients and firm management.
- Preparing financial statements and related documents that will be delivered to clients based upon firm guidelines to meet client deliverables.
- Leverage leadership by working directly with managers and partners of the Firm to provide you with continued education and learning during the engagement process.

Cray, Kaiser Ltd. offers a flex-time opportunity to seasoned administrative professionals. Flextime looks like this:
- Tax Season : Jan – April 40+ hrs/week, Monday to Thursday from 8am – 7pm, Friday 8am – 4:30pm, and Saturday 9am – 4:30pm. A minimum of 40 hours per week is expected. Should the candidate have additional hours available, we are happy to expand the hours and further enrich your experience.
- Off-Season: May – December flex schedule to support the below objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Administration of tax functions including:
- Work closely with partners and the tax professionals on administrative duties supporting the tax compliance practice
- Scheduling of tax projects
- Manage and update internal due date reminders
- E-file processing and administration
- Tax return processing and delivery of document support
The role is 100% in-person in our Oakbrook Terrace office. No outside travel is required.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful:
- Experience in a tax compliance environment and attention to detail
- Enjoys leveraging a variety of software products and technologies

Now Hiring: Tax / Audit Intern
Cray, Kaiser Ltd. offers a paid internship experience to selected college accounting students. We conduct three internship programs:
- Winter (tax season) – January through April
- Summer – May through August
- Fall – August thru December
We are always seeking accounting interns and welcome applications year-round. Kindly specify the preferred internship session while applying.

You will accomplish these tasks with a variety of software, including: Lacerte Tax, Accounting CS, Advance Flow, QuickBooks, Excel, Word and BNA Fixed Assets.
Depending on the engagement, there may be local travel to clients in the six-county metropolitan area. The work hours are Monday to Friday from 9am – 5pm. During tax season, Saturdays are added, to allow team members to connect on various projects.
We offer some flexibility with start times if you have a morning class and flexibility with ending times to accommodate evening classes. SCHOOL is your top priority! CK will be flexible around your academic responsibilities. Should you have additional hours available, we are happy to expand the hours and further enrich your experience.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
- Accounting and finance major
- Having completed a tax course, a plus
- Communicate at a high level your schedule and availability as we understand this can be a moving target during the school year
- Optimum schedule for a rich internship is 25-30 plus hours per week
- Open to working on Saturdays as this is when/where the energy and collaboration is found during tax season! We do not work on Sunday
- Required to work in Oak Brook, IL (housing not provided)
- Required to have access to transportation to CK and client offices, as applicable
