Starting a new job on January 1, 2011 or 1/1/11 has to be a good omen. For Micah Vant Hoff, the last six years assisting Cray Kaiser clients have indeed proven that to be true. As CK’s newest manager, Micah leads the completion of client engagements with a focus on closely-held businesses in a wide range of industries, including construction, transportation, logistics, technology, manufacturing, and employee benefit plans.
When you meet Micah, you’ll notice his listening skills and his humor. It’s hard to miss his genuine interest discovering his clients’ biggest concerns and issues. It fuels his determination to discover solutions that are integrative, creative and add value. Micah finds it fulfilling to bring knowledge and expertise that impacts his clients’ businesses beyond the basic accounting functions. Throughout that process, he also enjoys involving younger Cray Kaiser team members and helping them progress in their careers.
Throughout college, Micah worked as an Accounting Manager for a small business in the transportation/waste management industry. He knows what it is like for his clients on the other side of the desk and can empathize with their challenges, especially around issues of time management and prioritization.
Community: Micah earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, IL and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS). He recently obtained the Advanced Defined Contribution Plans Audit Certificate offered by the AICPA.
